We reach out to people living in poverty with practical help, whatever their religion or culture. CAFOD Legacy Day - Thursday 6 June
Join CAFOD for a day of sharing stories with Tom Delamere of CAFOD’s advocacy team and learning more about how we can make a lasting difference through a gift in a Will. We will be spending time in reflection and exploring the natural beauty of the grounds of St Joseph’s Prayer Centre in Formby.

CAFOD Crisis Appeal for Sudan
CAFOD has launched an emergency appeal to support families in Sudan, as Sudan is in the grip of the world’s worst hunger and displacement crisis.
Jo Kitterick, CAFOD’s director of participation, said: “Many aid agencies exited Sudan when the current fighting erupted a year ago. Right now Catholic agencies in the Caritas network that CAFOD is part of, supported by the Church of Sudan, are some of the only organisations able to deliver aid to support the Sudanese people."
Donations made to CAFOD's Sudan crisis appeal – whether online or via collections in parishes this weekend – will go towards supporting families in Sudan and surrounding countries, who are already contending with extreme hunger, as communities strive to stop the crisis from becoming the worst in living memory.

There was a second collection this week in aid of CAFOD. Also, on Sunday (8th October 2023) after 11.00 mass, Katy Lowrey and some willing helpers were serving soup in the Millenium room to help raise additional funds for CAFOD. The 4 different soups were DELICIOUS anda special thank you to those who made them for us to enjoy. Katy raised £112 for the CAFOD harvest appeal.
